Anna Eleanor Roosevelt


Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884 in New York, New York. She was very tall, thin, and shy. In 1899 Eleanor went to England. She was 15 years old. She went to a boarding school only for girls called Allenswood. After graduating from high school she went on to college at Roosevelt College. Her husband was president of the USA. She was the first wife of the president to help her husband. Her husband had polio and she covered for him. Her husband died and she had to take care of her kids by herself. She worked her entire life to help people. She was 78 when she died on November 7,1962.
